Designer/stylist/writer/photographer/artist that has fashion running through her veins. Her grandmother Graciela Gonzalez, always the fashion plate, designed and made clothing for high profile clients in Colombia. Her mother, Martha Szoenyi, hobnobbed with the creative set, dressed in her signature elegant yet bohemian style. Aunt “Titi” Pilar’s flawless aesthetic, which always had a finger on the pulse of what was on trend, was always a great inspiration.
After attending FIDM for Fashion Design and SFSU for Journalism, Alex started making jewelry, accessories and eventually clothing under the SZOENYI name. Her love of “anything vintage” led to her becoming a vintage buyer and seller. She is also a Personal Stylist at Nordstrom San Francisco Centre, freelance styles, throws her ARTISTRY: A Melange of All Things ART shows, designs and creates for the SZOENYI brand, and is a fashion and pop culture writer. She writes for her blog “PEEP THE POP!!!,” as well as Examiner.com as their SF Fashion Examiner. Her aim is to dabble more in photography, music, modeling and art.
