Pot Luck at Project one

Oh yeah,,,,, Barely pulling through here at BIANCA STARR. Getting ready for a day of eating and more eating with family and friends and all the family drama that will come with it!!! Woo Hoo - I can't lie, a bit hungover. Last night after we closed up shop, my hubby and I went to Project One's pot luck dinner celebrating the work of Dominique Eccheveria and Mani Motarjemi as well as a few more artists whose names I cannot remember right now. the good part about that is that you can actually go yourself to see the art. I believe it will be there until the first week of December. The Waterhouse's were amazing as always. It was fun mingling and getting to know the community behind Project One. I am proud to know them all. Here are some funny pics.... stopitsomemore -

BIANCA *STARR only the beginning

KATJA is in town from Berlin and stopping in for a visit. She was able to give me the low down on the fashion scene in Berlin while she was here. I just love here. She is as precious as they come. I was a little bit hungover and was sipping on my COCONUT water to cure my headache. The night before I attended the Chanel opening party in SF. The hospitality was on point. Thanks for the bracelets! Liz came in and bought a gorgeous neck piece. Here is a photo:

Another blog on SFBG!!!

Twinkle, twinkle, Bianca Starr

It's been months, but I'm still reeling from the loss of the Built by Wendy boutique on 20th Street. Yeah, yeah, I know - who could afford any of those cute lil' indie-rocker outfits? A gal can dream...

But now a few doors down from the old space, a fab mutant lovely has moved in: Bianca Starr. The brand new girl on the block - all of six weeks old - combines Painted Bird thrifty cool with a major dollop of Krystle Carrington '80s glam. The store motto: "A women's boutique where you leave your inhibitions at the door."

Lighting bolt-emblazoned heels, jewel-tone silky frocks, Ferragamo pumps with baby pyramid heels, and the works, all with a distinctively Reagan-era club-kid edge. And the vintage wares are rather reasonably priced to boot - so all those pennies saved with the loss of Built by Wendy can go straight to Starr. Zoom.

Interview - connect - Ladies Lotto

About 6 months ago I was invited to a networking dinner at Foreign Cinema. My friend Cassandra and I went and met women who are business owners. At the time, I had an idea that I wanted to open up a boutique and shared my ideas with the group over wine and steak. We all passed our cards to one another. It was such a lovely and inspiring dinner. At that moment, I felt completely empowered and continued on my journey towards opening my own business. The networking group was called Ladies Lotto. When I opened up my boutique, I was contacted by a member of the networking group and she happen to have a fashion blog. Here is an interview that I did through a connection at Ladies Lotto!.. Thanks to all who help make this happen.

Week One

Week One:
WOW! We are open and running! We have been making sales and people are slowly spreading the word. We couldn't be happier with the community response. We were also in the SFGATE today in the business section. We have been contacted by many fashion blogs as well and have been answering lots of interview questions. I have been putting at least 10 new items lately and love to see people's response to the items we have chosen...
